Welcome to jboyerdesign.com. I've been managing my own web site vtpots.com for many years now, and during that time I've been asked to make sites for friends as well. I've decided to make my web work a bit more "official" since I really enjoy it and would love to do more.

I've been a studio potter in Vermont since 1976, and I also am the Operations Manager of the Artisans Hand Craft Gallery in Montpelier. I've run it with a group of craftspeople since 1978, so have had extensive experience running these small businesses. I've always loved to do the graphic design for my studio.

It's been very interesting working on web sites for other businesses. I have a lot of background in many aspects of small business, so that helps when I'm working with someone on their new web site and helping them decide what is needed to make it successful.

I like to make simple, basic sites that don't have a lot of bells and whistles to distract from the content that the viewer is trying to focus on. I've taken a lot of training work shops about web design, many of them made possible by the Vermont Crafts Council.
